In the following paragraphs we would like to introduce some of the key fellows from our network.
Sergej van Middendorp
Researcher, toolmaker & advisor: Sergej’s mission is to use all his qualities to enable social innovation in organizations. Sergej supports innvire with the development and application of different research instruments, such as the activity analysis based on the work of Tom Davenport or value networks analysis based on the work of Verna Allee and Clayton Christensen. These tools were applied successfully in several innvire projects by helping to integrate the architectural design with the real needs of the organization.
Sergej’s background lies in leading complex innovation projects and the management of IT companies. When he was a teamleader and strategist with e-office, implementing the knowledge sharing and collaboration tools of IBM, Microsoft, and Google for clients like Heineken, Rabobank, and Essent, he experienced first hand what ‘new ways of working’ were really about. Sergej is always involved in leading edge research and development. During his MBA with Henley Business school in the late 1990′s, he developed an approach for e-business for the financial services industry. Today. in PhD research with Fielding Graduate University in California, he specializes in using jazz as a language for organizing around minimal structures that let organizations achieve a groove in their value network.
Nice to know: Sergej’s PhD research is not subsidized by government but sponsored by six innovative entrepreneurs!
Gerben van der Molen
Interior designer: Autodidactic designer and formally educated in the hospitality industry. After his education he always felt the desire to combine his passion for design and hospitality. Gained thorough insites on inner city developments when working at MAB, at the time the most succesful real-estate development firm in the netherlands. Started his own company, Stars Design, in 1994. Initially focussed on fast food, but nowadays in many areas such as hotels, hospitals and off the beaten path offices. He is well known for projects like ‘the SS Rotterdam’, ‘Stroom’, ‘Meetingcenter Equip in Zwolle’ and many other hotels, restaurants and offices.
Gerben creates special environments that please its inhabitants and gives them a great experience. This stimulates them to make your business successful. Together with innvire they create the synergy of evidence based designs with the feel of warm hospitality.
