innvire is founded by ilya Devèrs and Eelco Voogd in 2005. They established the company after having worked for more than 10 years in user experience design at several companies. Their combined talents and experience help their teams and customers create better workplace experiences. They manage our teams around workplace research, transitions and interior concepts. They inspire others by constantly challenging the status quo with new insights on workplace trends and insights.
ilya Devèrs
In the spring of 1990 ilya came home from a bungled math test, part of an acceptance process for an applied sciences study in the field of economics and computer science. He had just discovered he didn’t much like the school or its curriculum. At home he found a letter from the Utrecht School of the Arts. It said he was accepted in the faculty of Art, Media & Technology. Suddenly his mood was a lot better…
In the spring of 2004, after having received a master of art degree, having lived abroad and worked at three different companies, ilya visits a career coach. It is a good coach because in less then an hour ilya leaves his office feeling the same way he did on that spring day fourteen years earlier. With butterflies of excitement and high on natural endorphins. He just realized that working as a technology consultant was not bad, it just didn’t give the rewarding feeling that he experienced when creating something good by working together in a team. He leaves the door of the coach committed to start his own company together with Eelco, doing just that.
Being passionate about creating good and beautiful things he became good at leading teams, not directly by telling someone what to do, but facilitating them to excell at what they do best, coaching. His creativity is not aimed at stunning graphics that explore the boundaries between time and space or innovative technical solutions to business problems. Nowadays he focuses his analytical talent, intuition, empathy and creative energy at creating fantastic workplaces and helping people getting to grips with them.
When he is not leading innvire he can be found (cave-)diving. An activity that, if not done right, can be dangerous. With the right mind-set, dedication to perfection and commitment it is an extremely rewarding way to unwind: floating weightless in a beautiful environment. Or just enjoying life.
Eelco Voogd
With a background in Marketing Management from a Michigan University, Eelco started out in the 1990′s at a Dutch advertising agency. He soon moved to Germany and later Paris, France to work for an industrial company. His focus has always been how marketing & design could improve business results. At the turn of the millenium he changed towards an agency that designed and developed digital customer interactions. There he further developed his design knowhow and met and got inspired by e.g. Don Norman (from the book: The Design of everyday things) and Alan Cooper (The book: The inmates are running the Asylum, which ilya had recommended to him while they worked together).
Eelco is responsible within innvire for everything related to physical design like interiors, communication and product designs. His background in both technology and business, combined with his design talent create solid solutions that are both aesthetic as very usable.
When not at work, Eelco is on his road or mountainbike, preferably in the Alps. He likes the idea of building a 200o meter mountain in the Netherlands as that is the one thing the Netherlands is missing. For more information on his design achievements, eelcovoogd.com
